Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Twister Tie Down (“Twister Tie Down,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit twistertiedown.com (the “Site”) or contact us through it.

Twister Tie Down manufactures and assembles tree anchoring products in Bradenton, Florida, and sells through a distributor network. This Site is informational. It has no shopping cart, no user accounts, and no payment processing. We never ask for and never collect payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, or account passwords through this Site.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the distributor-referral form or the contact form, we collect the information in those fields: your name, email address, phone number, company or organization (optional), ZIP code, state, and any message you write. Providing this information is voluntary. If you do not provide it, we cannot route you to a distributor or answer your question.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting and security providers process standard technical data required to deliver the Site and to protect it from abuse. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the pages you request, referring URLs, and the date and time of each request. Your IP address is also processed by our bot-protection provider when the challenge on our forms runs.

Information we do not collect. We do not use analytics software, advertising pixels, session-recording tools, heat maps, or cross-site trackers of any kind. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not track you across other websites.

2. How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry and connect you with the nearest authorized distributor.
  • To send you the product, specification, or installation information you request.
  • To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site, including preventing spam and automated abuse.
  • To comply with applicable law and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. Legal bases for processing (visitors in the EEA and UK)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on: your consent when you choose to submit a form; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site, preventing fraud and abuse, and responding to business inquiries; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Service providers

We share information only with the service providers that operate this Site and our communications, and only to the extent each needs it to perform that function. We do not authorize any of them to use your information for their own marketing.

  • Website hosting and content delivery — serves the Site and its images and video, and processes IP address and request metadata to deliver pages and block abuse.
  • Content management and form storage — a United States server that holds the Site’s content and the submissions you send us.
  • Transactional email delivery — delivers the notification email generated by your form submission.
  • Bot protection — verifies that a form submission comes from a person rather than an automated script.
  • Embedded map and video — third-party frames on our About, Contact and How It Works pages, which load only if you view those sections.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Twister Tie Down, our customers, or the public. If our business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

This Site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

Two embedded third-party features may set their own cookies when you interact with them: the map frame on our About and Contact pages, and the video player on our How It Works page. The video player is configured in privacy-enhanced mode, which defers cookie placement until you press play. These are governed by those providers’ own privacy policies, not ours.

Our bot-protection check is designed to verify that a visitor is human without profiling that visitor or tracking them across sites.

6. How long we keep information

Form submissions are retained for up to twenty-four (24) months from the date of submission so that we can follow up on your inquiry and maintain a record of distributor referrals, after which they are deleted — unless a longer period is required by law or the information is part of an ongoing business relationship or dispute. Server and security logs are retained for a substantially shorter period consistent with our providers’ standard retention.

7. Security

The Site is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form submissions are transmitted over TLS. Access to stored submissions is limited to authorized personnel of Twister Tie Down and its website administrator, and credentials are held in an encrypted secrets manager. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

All visitors. You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to provide a copy of it, to correct it, or to delete it. Contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties to whom it is disclosed; the right to delete; the right to correct; and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so no opt-out mechanism is required. The categories we collect are identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), commercial information (the nature of your product inquiry), and internet activity limited to the technical request data described in Section 1. We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined by the CPRA. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request.

EEA and UK residents. In addition to the rights above, you have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

9. International visitors

Twister Tie Down operates in the United States, and the servers and service providers described above are located in or operated from the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent transfer mechanism, as implemented by the providers described in Section 4.

10. Children’s privacy

This Site is directed to landscape, nursery, municipal, and construction professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
